Matthew Pearson serves as the Vice President of Heffernan Retirement Services’ Seattle office. He works with clients on designing and implementing best practices for retirement plans, drafting Investment policy statements, and overseeing the monitoring of investment performance, as well as employee communication strategies.
Mr. Pearson comes with four years of investment advisory experience where he consulted clients on wealth management at Northwestern Mutual, and oversaw corporate retirement plans with Kibble & Prentice/USI. He grew up in Bellingham, Washington, and obtained a degree in Economics and International Business from Western Washington University. After graduating, Mr. Pearson began his financial career at Northwestern Mutual and then moved to Kibble & Prentice/USI to become an Investment Advisor Representative and Co-Fiduciary overseeing qualified retirement plans.
Mr. Pearson is also passionate about helping investment committees develop educational programs to help each employee stay on track for retirement and assisting with the committees’ IRS and DOL requirements.
Matthew is married to his wife, Kelsey, and they have a Corgi puppy named Harvey. He enjoys backcountry skiing, salmon fishing in the Pacific Northwest, and is an avid scuba diver.
